Pakistan will kick off its Asia Cup 2025 campaign on Friday, September 12, against Oman. The Men In Green are coming into the multi-team on the back of a tri-series win, featuring Afghanistan & UAE. The Salman Ali Agha-led side will be keen to show the same form in the Continental Cup.
Ever since Mike Hesson has been coaching Pakistan, he has made a few fearless calls, probably the biggest has been the exclusions of Babar Azam & Mohammad Rizwan. The two players, who were playing outdated cricket in the T20Is, have been replaced by a few power hitters, which is the norm in T20 cricket. Leading the attacking charge are Saim Ayub and skipper Salman Agha. Fakhar Zaman is also back, and there is some much-needed urgency in Pakistan's batting line-up.
