The 38-year-old currently features in just one format for India, having announced his Test retirement back in May. Since then, post-IPL, Rohit has been seen spending time with family and friends. Now, he’s preparing for the Australia ODIs, where he is expected to continue leading the team.

He was recently spotted training hard with former Indian assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, which confirmed his intent and availability for the upcoming fitness test.
As per sources close to the team, Rohit has been putting in serious work during the off-season. He’s looking noticeably leaner and sharper than last year, and with the Australia tour around the corner, the management is keeping a close eye on his fitness to ensure the squad remains fresh and well-balanced.
