The highly anticipated Indian line-up for the Asia Cup 2025 is likely to be announced in the third week of August, according to the source.
Reportedly, the BCCI and national selectors are currently in the process of filtering names from the probables to finalize a 17-man squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to kick-off in the UAE from September 9th.

The attention now returns to limited overs cricket following the conclusion of a nail-biting series in England, where India managed to level the series 2-2 and jointly held Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The squad now gets a much needed break of nearly a month before their next major challenge.
The board has confirmed that Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Indian team in the Continental Cup, putting a end to the speculations surrounding Shubman Gill being in line to lead India.

Squad Probables and Key Names to Watch
Coming to the squad probables, Test skipper Shubman Gill is expected to make his comeback in the T20I squad after his stellar performances in the England tour and consistent run in IPL 2025. Alongside him, Yashasvi Jaiswal is also expected to be in the final mix as an opening batter. Sai Sudharsan is another strong candidate, likely to receive his much-awaited limited overs opportunity.
In the bowling department, the T20 World Cup-winning duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are expected to be picked, subjected to fitness approval.
